Black Women in Asset Management awards open

Nominations are open for the annual Black Women in Asset Management (BWAM) 40 under 40 awards, recognising talent in the asset management industry.

BWAM is a diversity, inclusion, and development organisation launched in 2019, which has a mission to provide Black women working in asset management with the tools and resources to thrive.

This year’s awards comprise eight categories, including awards for ESG and sustainability, wealth management, diversity and inclusion, and impact investing. Five winners will be selected for each category, chosen on the basis of their “demonstration of leadership, industry and community impact made in the past year”.

“Every year, the BWAM 40 Under 40 Awards highlights the incredible accomplishments of 40 inspiring Black women under the age of 40, many of whom have had to overcome incredible challenges to be where they are today,” said BWAM CEO Jacqueline Taiwo.

“It is an honour to provide a platform that celebrates Black women for the immense contributions they have made to the asset management field.”

Look out for a Q&A with Taiwo on ESG Clarity coming soon.

Nominations are free to submit and will close at 5pm GMT on Friday 31 March with winners being announced at an in-person awards ceremony in London in October.
